Fees and Billing
Patrick Street Clinic provides high quality health care. Patients are asked to pay for their visits on the day of their visit. We accept cash, cheque EFTPOS and credit card.
Payment options:
Option 1
You can pay the full amount of our fee and our staff will submit a claim to Medicare on your behalf (with a rebate cheque from Medicare paid directly to you): or
Option 2
In some instances, you can pay the gap between our fee and the Medicare rebate (out-of-pocket cost) and we will submit a claim on your behalf. You then send or drop in the Medicare cheque that you will receive directly to us.
Patients who are not regular patients of Patrick Street Clinic are asked for payment on the day. Patients who do not qualify for a Medicare rebate (i.e. not Australian citizens or from countries without reciprocal healthcare agreements) are asked to pay the full amount of their fee on the day of their visit.
Standard Consultations are $51.00
Our fees are subject to review and are generally reviewed on 1st November each year. Different fees are charged for consultations of less than 5 minutes or more than 20 minutes. Other fees may apply for various procedures – please discuss this with our receptionist, our staff are only too pleased to help. Accounts will not be issued unless special circumstances exist.
The following charges are a guide for services at this surgery. Please don’t hesitate to ask your doctor or receptionists about other charges if these apply to you. Discounts and bulk billing may be applied at the doctor’s discretion. Most of our services are charged at the Government Schedule Rate.
Weekend surgery consultation fees vary. Please ask receptionist how this affects you.
