Patrick Street Clinic endeavours to provide locally the medial services that our community needs, as promptly as possible, at a reasonable cost. 

Diabetic and Asthma Clinic

These are run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1.00pm. 
Appointments are made with the sister for ½ hour and then with the appropriate doctor for ½ hour.

Diabetic Educator - Elisa Williams

Elisa visits the surgery on a Wednesday every fortnight.
1 hour appointments are made for new patients by our receptionist when referred by a doctor, and half hour appointments for a review appointment.  This service is a Government Funded service so there is no out of pocket expenses to see Elisa.

Hypnotherapist - Anita Pfleger,  AACHP, I-ED licenced

Anita is a member of the Australia Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Pschotherapy and licenced to practice I-ED.  She trained under Brian L Gunst creator of I-ED and practicing hypnotherapist.   I-ED or Ideo Ego Dynamics is a powerful process of hypnosis.  With this approach, specially trained and licenced practitioners place the responsibility for change back onto the patient where it belongs (Carol Jung "I do not wish to enforce my will on other people")  This process gives the patient all the tools they need for change and provides a true mind, body, spirit connection which in many cases can be permanent.

Clinical Hypnotherapy can help for:

Relaxation, pain management, Smoking cessation, weight problems, bed wetting, anxiety, phobias, fatigue, depression, insomnia, dream analysis and relationship problems.

Initial appointments are 90 minutes duration @ $70.00 (discounted to $60.00 if paid on the day).  For appointments on  Monday and Friday please ring our receptionists.

Cervical (Pap) Smears

We strongly advise all women to have one regularly.  It is a quick and simple test, and if you have never had one, please ring to arrange an appointment with your regular doctor or at our Well Women's Clinic.

Other Services

Provided at this surgery include lung function tests, tympanometry (test on the ear drum), counselling and audiometry.

Health Promotion

This practice is committed to health promotion and illness prevention.  Don’t hesitate to ask!

Minor Operations

We do all sorts of operations at the surgery, from removal of lumps and bumps, to removing toe nails and setting bones.  If in doubt please ask.

The Computer

Is used in our practice for accounts and recall, and all information handled by it is confidential, protected by a password system.

Family Planning

All doctors at this practice are happy and competent to give family planning advice. Implanon implants are inserted or removed.  Please phone to make a convenient appointment.

Immunisations

Children’s immunisations and other immunisations (travellers abroad, Tetanus, Hepatitis B) are provided on any week day.
